Founder and Managing Partner
Atul S. Kannan
Atul is a former operator and consultant with extensive experience in Due diligence, Strategy, and Research. He worked for ExxonMobil driving significant operational and EHS (Environmental, Safety, & Health) improvements as an engineer, investment planner, and section head.
He went on to provide consulting and advisory services at Bain & Co. where he served on engagements ranging from M&A strategy, due diligence, to operational/organization improvement—including a large-scale operating improvement transformation of a national energy efficiency program provider. He has also served as a board member for a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
Atul earned his MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School, and Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with high distinction from the University of Virginia. He is a Chess Master and who loves to teach/write about personal finance. Additionally, he runs an impact search fund dedicated to acquiring a small environmentally beneficial business. He and his family live in Herndon, Virginia.
